Scope
This Privacy Policy explains what information Scrolly ("the App") collects, how it is collected and used, when it is shared, and how you can request access, correction, or deletion.
Information We Collect
When you play as a guest
- Guest Player ID — a random identifier stored on your device and sent with API requests
- Analytics identifier — a random identifier generated by our analytics provider and stored on your device to distinguish app sessions and measure return usage; it is not an advertising identifier
- Local game data — game state, personal bests, and preferences stored on your device
- Gameplay and product interaction data — games displayed and opened, game category and feed position, loading status and errors, attempts, scores or results, session and play duration, favorites-related interactions, and app opens or backgrounding
Guest players cannot save account favorites or submit scores to leaderboards.
When you sign in
Depending on the information provided by Apple or Google, we may collect:
- Email address — including an Apple private relay address, if you choose that option
- User ID — the identifier associated with your authenticated account
- Name and avatar URL — profile information provided by your sign-in provider
- Game data — scores, favorites, leaderboard entries, and related gameplay records
For product analytics, Scrolly associates the internal account User ID with analytics activity so we can understand retention across sessions. Scrolly does not intentionally send your email address or name to PostHog as analytics properties.
Product analytics
We use PostHog to understand which games are popular, how long games are played, where loading fails, how users move through the App, and whether users return. Analytics events may include:
- App version and build, operating system and device information
